Job Description
A prestigious national law firm is seeking a Health Care Associate (2–6 years’ experience) to join its top-ranked Health Law practice in Washington, D.C. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading health systems, physician groups, life sciences companies, and healthcare investors at the forefront of an evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise clients on federal and state healthcare regulations, including fraud and abuse laws, HIPAA, Stark Law, and reimbursement frameworks
Support transactions involving healthcare entities, including M&A, joint ventures, and compliance due diligence
Assist in government investigations, enforcement actions, and audits under Medicare/Medicaid and related programs
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents in support of complex health law matters
Collaborate with senior attorneys on regulatory, transactional, and litigation-related health law work
Candidate Profile:
J.D. degree with excellent academic credentials (Class of 2019–2023)
2–6 years of experience in health law from a law firm, government agency, or in-house legal department
Strong working knowledge of Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, HIPAA, False Claims Act, and corporate practice doctrines
Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects
