Junior Life Sciences Patent Associate – Litigation

A prestigious global law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Life Sciences Patent Associate (Litigation focus) to join its highly regarded IP practice in Boston. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with top biotech and pharmaceutical clients on high-stakes matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop global patent portfolios for life sciences clients

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields

• Conduct freedom-to-operate, patentability, and invalidity analyses

• Support IP due diligence in corporate transactions

• Assist with post-grant proceedings, IP counseling, and litigation

• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on cross-border cases

Candidate Profile:

• J.D. degree with outstanding academic credentials (GPA 3.5+)

• Background in Biology, Chemistry, or related life sciences field (Ph.D. strongly preferred)

• 1–4 years’ experience at a top law firm or boutique IP practice

• Strong ability to interpret complex scientific and technical documents

• Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills

• Highly proactive, team-oriented, and able to perform under pressure
